Arsenal's embarrassment continue with defeat in the hand of division four club

Arsenal’s misery in the world of football seems to continue. The club is already eight years without any silverware, and looks like this year is no different. In fact the fate of the once iconic European football club is heading downward spiral. Last night the club has suffered its humiliating defeat in the hand of a division four club. Now more than ever Arsene Wenger is left facing mounting questions about his future at the Emirates.

Yet as League Two minnows Bradford ensured his desperate season hit a new low, the Gunners boss bizarrely defended his abject side, by insisting he couldn't fault their performance.

It is the first time the London club have ever been knocked out of the league cup by opponents from the fourth tier, yet their manager calmly dismissed suggestions this was Arsenal's greatest humiliation, when he insisted:

"I don't think this was a humiliation, no, you feel embarrassed when you don't give everything, and I can't fault the effort of my team because I believe we gave absolutely everything for 120 minutes.

"I know people will say it's against a division four side, but it was a typical English cup tie, and in these games there is always a chance this can happen.

"I feel we gave everything, and I don't think we lacked quality, I just think we couldn't take our chances in the end. It's a lot to take in, but let's accept you have to give credit to Bradford - they played well and that's part of the game too."

Wenger's words will astonish reeling Gunners supporters who will wonder how the hell their European aristocrats - who fielded an almost full strength side - lost to a team that incredibly cost about $11,500 to assemble.

Compare that to a team boasting two centre forwards in Chamakh and Gervinho who are paid more than 10 times that PER WEEK between them, and yet who failed miserably to produce even a half decent effort on target.

If that is not enough to the fans of the struggling club, there is a report of Walcott heading to Old Trafford as early as this January. Unless some drastic management change made, Arsenal might be sliding into obscurity thanks to the stubbornness of its coach Arsene Wenger.
